I Am My Chair

An Authentic movement dance piece about my gender expression throughout my life. This is a project that will span my whole life, at this point in time I have preformed it publicly once, on 6/1/2026.

Holy Body

A necklace forged to be worn during authentic movement for “I Am My Chair”. Inspired by a connection between the cross and the chest, showing a Trans body as a holy, spiritual experience.

Boobs float above the chest, showing a detachment from the body itself, but a connection still exists.

My Seat At The Table

The chair that started it all.

This piece began as a place to sit, and feel seen in my identity. A part of me that isn’t always seen by the outside world, something that is hidden under long hair and clothes. I was inspired by Opsvik to create a piece that inspired movement in the sitter, being able to sit in a variety of ways. When you look at the chair straight on, you can see two figures; the legs in the back making up a smaller more feminine figure with a skirt made of the cherry stripe in the seat, while the front legs make up a more masculine squat pose. Both are always present, regardless of which one you see upon first glance.
